| It was the night of 3rd February 1959, - "the day the
music died" - when Buddy Holly, at only 22 years old, was killed in a plane
crash near Clear Lake, Iowa, USA. His backing band, The Crickets, continued to
tour without him but the magic was gone. |
Now, nearly 50 years later, their music is revived in
HeartBeat - a talented trio, re-creating the original sounds of Buddy Holly and
the Crickets.
But, there's more
.
HeartBeat is a
live band (yes, they can actually play their instruments!) there's no backing
tracks or karaoke singing! So in addition to their tribute to Buddy Holly and
The Crickets, HeartBeat can perform many classic rock'n'roll covers - up to two
hours of live entertainment, re-creating the original sounds from the 50's to
the present day. Check the HeartBeat 'top 50'
for the likes of Elvis, Eddie Cochran, The Everly Brothers and Ritchie Valens,
(all Buddy's contemporaries), along with more recent artists, Eric Clapton,
Paul McCartney and Dire Straits, to name but a few. |
